I'm a little late on my "New Year's" post. Of course. Would anyone expect anything else from me? Probably not.
2012 was a good year. I did a lot. I accomplished a lot. I made new friends and met lots of people. Lost a good amount of weight. Let's recap, shall we?
January - got myself a job after 3 1/2 months of being unemployed. Such a blessing in my life.
February - Josh Powell murdered his two young sons. I had never felt such anger towards a complete stranger. I was completely sickened by this selfish and disgusting act. Side note...the best bro-in-law in the WHOLE WORLD turned 30 and I made him a death cake. It rocked.
March - Miranda Lambert concert! Um hello...amazing! I'm obsessed with her, in a completely non-psychotic way. She rocks my world.
April - spontaneous and exhausting 24-hour trip to Vegas for a free concert. Conquered my fear and went paragliding. It was AMAZING and I wish I could afford to do it every day of my life. Went to Conference with some super friends.
May - Denver to see the Braves beat the Rockies. Stranded in Cheyenne, Wyoming and getting cheated by every mechanic in the state. Run in a relay race with my high school BFFs and lost both of my big toenails. My sweet puppy, Buster, died...and it sucked. And I was FREAKING TAN...I want that back.
June - Dirty Dash...best race EVER. Can't wait to do it again. My family reunion is always my favorite weekend of the year. I had a serious obsession with sno-cones. Was in a very confusing situation with a friend that took some serious emotional tolls on me.
July - NEIL DIAMOND...hello? Need I say more? Sold Walter, bought Lucy. It was a good trade. Lots of parades, fireworks, rodeos, and all things American. Watched the entire State of Utah burn.
August - went on my very first business trip to Dallas, Texas. Chopped down my first tree. FINALLY got the complete FRIENDS series on dvd. Saw Iron & Wine in concert (amazing!).
September - turned 25 and had a slight emotional breakdown over it. Took out my endowments and it was the best decision I could have ever made. Hit an elk while driving through Spanish Fork Canyon.
October - added the sweetest little addition to our family, Miss Blakeley Reese. Made the BEST costume for Halloween. Went on a ghost tour through downtown Salt Lake. Booked a trip to IRELAND! Carrie Underwood in concert...she is flawless. Dealt with lottttts of family drama. Watched Pitch Perfect in theaters like 6 times in less than a month (8 times total). Watched the most pathetic football game of all time and had to see the Ags lose to the kitties from the South...depressing.
November - bought myself a flat screen tv (no need for a man...I will just buy all this stuff for myself). Got the best EVER tv news - Ben Savage and Danielle Fishell will return to be on "Girl Meets World"! Ate half a pound of pumpkin pie in a pie eating contest. An insane and insanely outrageous girls weekend at my house, complete with 4 aunts and a plethora of the best cousins around. Had a (tiny) breakdown about the fact that I didn't get to see Garth Brooks before he finished his show in Vegas. Obama was reelected for a second term as President...I had never before seen such a nation divided as it was during this election. Was told that I was wayyyyyy past my expiration date for marriage.
December - iPad mini from work! Another national tragedy with the awful shooting in Connecticut. Had the BEST burger of my entire life - the fried macaroni and cheese burger from Cheesecake Factory. Kissed a random stranger at midnight on New Year's Eve.
2013 is going to be a banner year for me, I can already tell. I am going to Oklahoma City for work in two weeks, I leave for Ireland in 43 days, I am running the Dirty Dash again this year. I want to do more things. That is my goal. So. Here we go. 2013 will be a GOOD YEAR.
Amen.

Um, if you're way past your expiration date for marriage I don't want to know what that person thinks of me! I'm probably a skeletor old biddy or something! Also, Pitch Perfect: OBSESSED and also, Ireland: studied abroad there: OBSESSED. Seriously obsessed. Just counted and of my 5 (is that too many?) coffee table books3 of them are about Ireland. Fact. Yay for a new blog post! :)
(wo)man! You totally rocked the crap out of 2012. Can't wait to see what you do with 2013. :)
